EO FOR ESSENTIAL BIODIVERSITY VARIABLES GBF INDICATORS - EXPRO+

The objective is to develop state-of-the-art earth observation solutions to produce essential biodiversity variables (EBVs) enabled by satellite remote sensing in terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecosystems and to support their integration into the monitoring framework of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KM-GBF). The project is in partnership with GEO BON and the European Biodiversity Observation Coordination Centre (EBOCC). Furthermore, existing EBV Initiatives by European and International Partners will be leveraged, including GEO BON, EUROPABON, the European Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity (KCBD), the European Biodiversity Partnership (Biodiversa+) and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF).
